February Challenge

I'm thinking hearts! Let's all do pages that are inspired by Valentine's Day. Some of you (those with, ahem, 3 daughters...) might find this challenge a snap... others of us a bit of a stretch, but I'm in the mood to do something pink or red so I'm issuing a mushy, gushy Valentine's challenge. Have fun!

January Challenge...

Courtesy of Laura's Cricut Machine...

Okay, enough delay! We all had lovely, busy Decembers and now we should get back on track! At least, I need to! So I'm sending out a reminder that we should restart our challenges. My goal for January was to finish Connor's baby book... well now it's nearing the end of January and I'm thinking that I should maybe finish it in February! At least... before I have to start a third baby book anyway!

So... the first challenge of 2008 is to dig out that envelope that you received in the mail. Mom and I cut some die cuts for you and your challenge is to use them to complete a layout. Sounds simple enough! I'm going to use mine to scrapbook Connor's First Christmas. I've been putting off this email because I haven't taken a picture to show you how to assemble the die cuts, because I haven't assembled mine yet... but if we wait until I do that, I'll be cropping Connor's first Christmas in February. They're fairly straight forward, anyway, but if you need some hints, I'll try and glue mine together tonight and send you a photo tomorrow.

Let's start out slowly because Marion's out of town and Alison just moved into her new place and hasn't unpacked her scrapbook stuff... so let's make this one our "January challenge" and then in February get back onto the weekly bandwagon!

Any one with me?

Laura

November 30th to December... 6, 7, 8...

Hey Laura, if we don’t already have a challenge for this week . . . .

I’m giving this challenge to get myself going on my Christmas cards. I propose we do a layout that somehow includes your Christmas letter for 2007, or if you’re one of the few that actually writes individual letters for people, perhaps include the card that you’re going to send out this year instead. This will give me a deadline for my Christmas card this year so maybe I’ll actually get it done!

Focus on Journalling this week. Try to do something different like using more than one font on your computer, writing in a different shape or writing a poem, or using stickers/rub-ons to do a title and then journal in handwriting or a completely different sticker style, or mix handwriting and computer journalling together for an even more eclectic look! :) Journalling is my least favourite part of scrapbooking, so let's see what neat ideas we can come up with this time!

Happy scrapping,
Laura

Okay, let's make it official since a couple of us jumped ahead already! Everyone has now received the die cuts that Mom sent out (or hand delivered to us lucky ones)... so...

Our next challenge (starting Friday) is to do a page incorporating arrows into it! Have fun!

"I have thought of a challenge:

One page (unless you feel like doing more); the ONLY restriction is that the page has to be about something you find humourous; something that makes you laugh."
